1994 Honda CBR900RR

The good:

I just finished charging the new battery after replacing a blown engine!

Not the fastest rebuild in the world, but I did it all by myself. Fired up on the first try!

The bad:

won't idle

and sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders

both pretty minor issues, should be worked out soon!

I'm Stoked!

i think it's been H8R owned for like 10 years

i think it's been sitting with a blown engine since i started posting on this website, which was probably like 6-7 years ago.

what caused the original engine to blow up, and how many miles were on it?

^^ haha, nope

bought it off the showroom floor

^yep, been sitting for 6 yrs, due to other priorities

blew the engine with 17k on it, something about wheelies and oil starvation issues

replacement CA spec engine has 13k on it, got it for ~$700

went with 520 X ring chain and 520 sprockets, +3 teeth on the back

had the headers coated with Jet Hot coating

I'm pretty happy with it

A friend of mine had one of those years ago, kind of blue-green colored. He had chromed the wheels and a vance & hines pipe on it and maybe more then blown the motor or wrecked it and it sat behind his house.
