I wish I had some super secret family recipes. My family never cooked a damn thing.

If the recipe called for white, you shouldn't have just subbed all wheat. A third or half would be OK, but more than that and it's going to be really dense.

cooking does not come naturally to me. but ordering food does. i love a good meal

however my mom is an awesome cook and i need to acquire some of those skills
