1 girl, knew her when i was 5-8years old . Found out she was murdered/raped when she was 13.


1 guy, knew him through my brother..they were best friends. He was shot and killed by some opposing gang member. He had previously beat the guy up and the guy got mad, tracked him down and shot him to death.

guy I went to HS with, tried to run from the cops in a car, wrecked it got out and ran, cops shot him as he hopped a fence.........NEVER RUN FROM DC or PG POLICE...they shoot first, ask questions and then shoot some more

I was pretty good friends with Stephanie Bennett. I worked with her sister and one of my good friends was fucking around with her. Wouldn't call her a childhood friend though, since I only knew her when I was in college.

i lived in lexington, nc when i was in 4th grade (about 1993, so i was about 9-10 yrs old)

and a kid that i played and traded action figures with, along with the rest of his family in a home invasion by the guy his mother had a fling with (or something like that)

i wont forget that day, because my whole class was told this right before we had lunch

i was so upset i couldnt eat, and had to go talk to a counselor and other people in a room---to which one person tried to convince me that it might not have been him

I guess I lived in a secluded little town but I know of no murders. We did sort of have a "curse" on our school where one student from the senior class every year would get into a fatal car accident.

Luckily didn't happen with my senior class...

i know plenty of car wrecks that took lives way too soon. only one murder.

this guy had been hanging out with his gf at her house with his gf's step sister (who was a very good friend of mine) and her two brothers. they were all staying there at the house, he sleeping in his gf's room with her. later that night, gf's younger brother comes into the room with a shotgun and shoots him in the face. younger brother then goes downstairs and turns the gun on himself.

I've had 3 friends die in the past year. None of them were murdered though. One was killed in Chicago when he was hit by a car last September, one was killed in Greenville in February when he lost control of his car in the rain, and one was killed in Roanoke Rapids when he flipped his motorcycle last month.

a girl in high school that i went out with once was a soccer star and a really nice girl. she had some family problems and missed most of her senior year. a year later we find out she's working at dockside dolls and dating a drug dealer. he shot her in the back of her head in front of their baby. i found out like two years later and to this day haven't found an obituary or anything...it's like it never happened or something.

a kid at my middle school hung himself, i didn't know him though.

knew a girl in high school who was raped and got pregnant from it...cops didn't believe her when she finally came forward about it and the guy threatened her if she revealed it. she went to get an abortion and became something of an outcast with her family. i think she attempted suicide in the school bathroom via pills and got sent to a psych hospital for a year or two and came back. she's pretty weird now, i can't say that she wasn't before though.

one of my friends at duke was a good friend of that indian guy who was murdered around the same time as Carson.

One of my best friends growing up, Keith McClintock was gunned down at a gas station during a robbery. He only had $15 on him, and the two guys shot him and his friend. Keith was shot through the heart and died instantly. The guy that was with him got his head grazed and was luckily only knocked unconscious.

They never caught the two guys.

this girl i knew in highschool was killed along with her boyfriend in some kinda drug deal gone bad, they got ran up on while in the trailer, shot up, stabbed and they cut the dudes fingers off (actually both of their fingers got cut off)

it was a big deal cuz the sheriff got heat for using twigs from outside to stick in the bullet wounds for photographs


she was a nice girl, i was surprised she was caught up in some mess like that

i've had several people from childhood and highschool die tragically and/or been murdered.


one girl who i used to chase around the playground in elementary school and knew throughout high school was found headless in the trunk of her car. head was found several yards away. I think her boyfriend did it but i can't remember.

3 or 4 have died in pretty tragic car accidents. One, i was on my way to work and got caught in traffic for like 2 hours because of a wicked car wreck a few miles from my office. found out later that day it was a girl i was close with from high school.

another 3 or 4 i know have died from drug overdoses over the last several years as well.

shit sucks.
