I don't get this when I hear people say it. I'll give you Chad Michael Michaels=Semipro=Ricky Bobby (to an extent). But how is Ron Burgundy anything like Buddy the Elf? How is Frank the Tank anything like Mugatu? etc...

Will Ferrell is probably the best comedian of the decade.

I will grant you his recent movie "character" has gotten old but give me a fucking break. His SNL sketches are absolute hallowed grounds. His movies are ALL watchable and the older ones are classics.

i like to think that while he's repeating the same basic character, he's perfecting his craft as he does it. he's seemingly gotten better at acting stupid, and managed to keep it funny for the most part, with a few terrible exceptions.

as for this movie, i personally found anchorman to be on the bottom half of the list, and will likely skip on this one.

i loved will ferrell back on SNL and I generally enjoy him but I'm getting sick and tired of him honestly. talladega nights was so so and anchorman was good but quickly gets old (ie hardly any replay value). and im definitely not looking forward to the step bros movie

I found Talledega Nights loads more fun and funny than Anchorman. I am not a Will Ferrell fan but he is funny. I have yet to actually go to "Will Ferrell" movie, but this Step Brothers has my attention.

Paul Rudd is fucking horrible. He's always overacting and is the only member of the cast that doesn't seem naturally funny. I cringed during everyone of his scenes in Anchorman.
