Yeah, I have two friends who refuse to use tampons. It's crazy.

I no longer regularly menstruate since getting the Mirena, but I use Tampax Pearl when I do. The only time that I have used a pad in the last 10 years or so was right after I had my son. That was like 6 weeks of horror and matress-like post partum pads.

There is actually a difference in the way that the Tampax Pearl tampons are made from the regular Tampax tampons. I wish that they would make the Pearls with a cardboard applicator. The last time I checked the Pearls only came in plastic.

Applicatorless tampons are WEIRD. I have only used one once in an emergency. And it was just odd.

haha i remember trying to figure out the tampon without reading the instructions first. i took all the cardboard shit off and tried shoving it up there, yeah that felt AWESOME trying to walk around. Luckily I remembered a friend saying "You've done it right when you can't feel anything". so after numerous failed attempts I finally looked at the gross vag pics and got it right. Now my sister is that age and I found out she's been using pads forever....I managed to change her thinking and she loves me more for it.

Non applicator tampons are horrible. I have a friend that swears by them, but I can never get them in there comfortably without the applicator. They always end up falling out cause they're not in deep enough.
