so says House Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C.

“It is critical our community be an integral and active part of the debate because African-Americans are disproportionately impacted by the effects of climate change economically, socially and through our health and well-being” 7/29/2008 6:13:28 PM |

Imagine their shock when they realize that African-Americans are disproportionately impacted by the effects of combatting Global Warming through higher energy costs and economic dislocation. 7/29/2008 6:34:57 PM |

The actual study says that 32k is 3 times the median assets for blacks. If that is true, that is fucking pathetic.
The "study" is stating the obvious, but is hurts the POOR. Bc if you didnt notice if the prices go up, the poor have a harder time. Amazing findings in there.
"The total cost of the war in Iraq borne by African Americans will be $29,000 per household if the resulting defi cit is fi nanced by tax increases, and $32,000 if the debt is repaid by spending cuts. Th is is more than three times the median assets of African American households."

why do you molest children joe?
Here is another gem from the "study":
The disparities between African Americans and non- Hispanic whites in responsibility for causing global warming pollution in the U.S. mirror similar disparities at the global level. Predominantly white nations, especially the U.S., have caused far more than their proportional share of the pollution burden, while predominantly of-color nations, especially African nations, have low emissions relative to a fair distribution. 7/29/2008 6:52:04 PM |

^ A version of this has been done before, you know:
CLINTON EXPRESSES REGRET ON SLAVERY IN U.S. March 25, 1998
Quote : | "President Clinton expressed regret today for the role of the United States in African slavery, as he reeled off a list of errors in American policy toward this continent that included turning to ruthless dictators as allies during the cold war." |
Quote : | "In his 13-minute speech, Mr. Clinton gave the children a brief history lesson. 'It is as well not to dwell too much on the past,' he said, 'but I think it is worth pointing out that the United States has not always done the right thing by Africa.'" |

And there's always this concerning Clyburn:
