ah shit, good question, i'm still undecided.
i need to get together w/ some practicing engineers and find out if a phd is worth it at all.

sweden has quite a few english-language masters' programs, all tuition free
canada has programs at several schools where international students pay the same tuition as canadian students or qualify for automatic scholarships 7/29/2008 8:06:25 PM |

Im currently finishing up a Masters degree in Sweden and what ^ says is generally true. There are tons of programs available exclusively in english so you shouldnt have a problem finding something for you. Right now, tuition is entirely free for everyone but there have been rumors of the government starting to charge non-EU citizens as early as January, 2009. Check out http://www.studyinsweden.se if youre interested. Its a site created by the government to make it easy for foreign students to gather information and apply to Swedish Universities. In just a quick search there i found that a M.Sc. program in Mining and Geotechnical Engineering is offered at Lulea University (f*ing far north). 8/3/2008 1:46:39 PM |
