I'm heading back to NC from Rock Springs, Wyoming this Friday. If you ever plan on visiting Wyoming, don't. I never want to hear another goddamn thing about rednecks or white trash from ANYWHERE ELSE because this place wins (loses) the contest.

Everyone I know who have been say Wyoming is one of the most beautiful states in the nation.

It's also where Yellowstone is.

So maybe you should go, just try not to meet anyone there.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful states. And things are different out there. If you're some jerk that thinks you're better than everyone else, then yeah, you won't like the people there. But if you like meeting new people and taking things at face value, then they are some cool people.

And Yellowstone is half in Wyoming and half in Montana. Wyoming gets Old Faithful!

I lived in Cheyenne for about three years and I must say that it's just like any where else...

it's a fucking shithole aside from all the tourist places that people think epitomize the state...

Everyone has a different perspective of everything. I loved the landscapes, and they changed constantly. All the colors of the mountain rocks change in each mountain range. You can see so much wildlife just driving to the store. The people are so much nicer than the people in Raleigh. And where I stayed was more in the country, out in Lovell. Of course the cities are going to be different. I went to Jackson Hole and didn't care for how expensive everything was, just because it was Jackson Hole. Now Cody on the other hand, everything was reasonable and the history is just awesome! Granted those are the tourist towns you speak of, but I don't think of Cody as the entire state.

Different strokes for different folks.

I will be making the I-680 to I-580 to I-5 to I-15 to I-40 to Raleigh drive in like 8 months... or maybe I'll take I-80 to I-75 to I-40 to Raleigh for kicks since I've never done it...

And I can't wait to be finished with grad school

I loved the drive across the country. Now that I have SOME $$$ saved up I might make more of a trip out of it this time. Go see some stuff and stay in some cities. Outskirts of Memphis and Amarillo kinda sucked...

Though Flagstaff was cool... but that was b/c there was an awesome pub right next to the hotel.

I-80 goes through like Utah, Wyoming, one of the Dakotas (I think), Chicago, etc...

And I've been to just about everywhere in that state. The south sucks, the northern areas/yellowstone is pretty cool. It's just way too desolate for me to stay in...

yeah, driven through it twice, once in the southern part, and once through the north. beautiful state.

you probably won't meet anyone there unless you're trying...it's pretty desolate.
