what are supposedly great movies that you'll only watch once at most and forget about it

There will be blood - good movie, good acting, but really not that intriguing enough to watch again
No country for old men - dark movie well directed and acted but the story isnt all that interresting

^^ that is sort of true for me too, although I dont know that "great" and "forgettable" go together for me. Maybe great movies with low replay value? I could see that. But something that you are calling great but is forgettable, that is usually what I call "good" - enjoyable but not something that sticks with you the same way as something i classify as "great"

i haven't seen ^^.

anyway, Requiem for a Dream is a really good movie but I have no desire to see it again. I wouldn't call it forgettable by any means, but yeah.

^it seems like the OP might have meant movies that many others think are great?

99 percent of good movies for me

Thats why I never buy movies

Once I've seen something, thats it for me

The only ones I buy are superhero movies and occasional comedies

I could see a lot of people not wanting to see the Dark Knight twice... because of how disturbing the joker was. Which I guess is part of what made it so awesome.
