I just had a tech over here trying to fix my roadrunner and he kept saying that the 'power levels' were too high. Supposedly, they're supposed to be between 30-50 dBmV, mine is at 59.

What I'm curious about is why is the higher dBmV an issue? I would think higher signal power means less signal degradation.

and they're coming to replace the adapter for my apartment complex with 24 hrs....so they claim.

yeah, too much power and you overload the modem chipset and it starts to overmodulate.
