It's probably near Iowa or some of those other states nobody gives a fuck about.

It's not that I couldn't have looked it up on a map...It's more that I don't care. I doubt many other people do either.

I think Delaware is north of Washington DC because George Washington stood at the front of that boat as it went across their river.

^^ It's ok. I learned it in the fifth grade like everyone else. Somewhere along the way Kansas slipped off the mental map to make way for more important things like how to make a good martini.

You wouldn't know it was there driving through it, either. 100% flat, no features except wheat.

Yes, unlike the cultural and intellectual capital of the nation that is North Carolina, Kansas is a real hole.

Kansas City is alright, but they gotta share it with Missouri. The Harrah's casino there is quite big. It was in the news not long ago, too.

The real Kansas City belongs to Missouri, don't ever get KC, MO and KC, KS confused. Two separate and distinct entities.

on a similar note, I never realized that West Virginia went so far NORTH...
and I find it odd that the "regular" state of Virginia extends further WEST than WEST Viriginia

There's nothing really wrong with living in Delaware. They have some great beaches (big party atmosphere), its really close to Philly and Baltimore, and DC and NYC are only a little bit further.

Colorado and Wyoming have kickass mountains. Kansas has nothing, nooothing.
