I think we need another section where threads can be voted on for the "Best of" section and approved by the OWMBO.

possibly we could add a tag near the moderator's options to vote.

opinions?

what happened to the tww awards that were being discussed in chit chat in massive detail last year?

tons of nominations were in for many categories, the only thing that was left was voting.

not very

i think the "which threads get into BOTWW forum" question is the one that needs to be thought out more before this ever happens though

maybe a link at the bottom of the thread for "vote this thread for BOTWW", one vote per username. either a vote for yes or a vote for yes/no. with both there would have to be n votes for it to make it to BOTWW. with the latter it would have to have a 75% (?) positive rating no matter how many votes. they could be put in BOTWW automatically or as per tww standard, mods would have to approve. in either case, no one person should be able to say "yes this is for BOTWW" but there should probably be a way for a mod (or several mods) to say "get this shit out".

i'm sure there are some flaws in there, just getting the ball rolling.

sorry, i meant to be more clear that in either case (y or y/n) there would have to be a minimum number of votes. the y/n part differs only in that if a bunch of retards vote a stupid thread (such as EUPHALO, no offense to that party) as BOTWW, some level headed people (no offense to aforementioned party) can vote it down.

but if it required (total # of users*1%) # of votes or something of the like to be required with or without an overall approval rating of 75% then that just might work. even still, I think a "Final Approval" would be a good idea.

also, voting rights could be a "Premium Perk" or something to do with longevity on the site kinda like "Old Skool"
