I need to go to home depot and get some of those plant things!
Got a couple square feet of ground to plant stuff in, need to make use of it. Think I'm gonna start with some basil, parsley, mint, and chives. OMG I love chives. If I can grow cilantro in NC I'm gonna be all over that too. Not buying fresh herbs is gonna cut a couple bucks out of my weekly food bill right there. 8/14/2008 6:38:41 PM |

Why didn't you put this time and effort into other, more pungent plants? 8/14/2008 6:40:16 PM |

I've grown a butt ton of veggies and spices this year. Most of which I've frozen or given away. I went a bit nuts w/ the size of my garden.
[Edited on August 14, 2008 at 6:42 PM. Reason : I grew both roma and 2 smaller non grocery store varieties (big boy and somthing else)] 8/14/2008 6:40:53 PM |

tomatos, peppers (several kinds), black peanuts, watermelon, pumpkin, cantelope, greens earlier, and lots of green beans.
I've also got nut and fruit producing trees!
Yea, my tomatoe plants are pretty much spent

dude, the type of pot doesn't matter as long as it gives them some dirt and doesn't drown them
we're growing ours where one of our chicken houses used to be, so it grows stuff good
[Edited on August 14, 2008 at 6:45 PM. Reason : we grow maters in 5 gal buckets in the winter time...eat fresh maters on christmas day] 8/14/2008 6:44:24 PM |
