I'm probably looking forward to this more than any other game in the short term (up until Fallout 3)

I got this game and STALKER at the same time. I started on this one first and I wasn't that impressed with it. I finished about 3 or 4 missions and was surprised to see the game throw up a completion percentage after each mission. Showing the percentage alone wasn't the cause for surprise, it was the amount of the game that I had already completed. With the numbers they were giving me I'd say it would have taken about 7 or 8 hours to finish.

The best way to describe it... it's kind of like a poor man's GTA.

I started on STALKER, and despite the terrible, terrible game ending main story scripting bugs it was the better game. Now I'm done with STALKER and I'm in no hurry to start this one back up.

it is like gta... but you get real weapons... and air strikes..... and missions where they're useful

Mercenaries takes longer than the completion percentage would have you believe.


It only keeps track of the main story missions, of which there are only about a dozen, and 2-3 are done right off the bat. However there are many more faction missions, some of which must be done to move on in the main story.

I really liked the game, personally.
