So I took 6 hours at CPCC this summer and I transferred them over to NCSU. The courses appear on my Degree Audit, but when I look at my Academic summary they don't appear. I called R&R and they said they THINK it's because it doesn't update or appear till August 25th, but sounded uncertain. I was wondering if anyone else knew anything about this. 8/15/2008 11:57:51 PM |

I have 34 credits from CPCC, they show up in the right hand column of Academic Summary as transfer hours but it takes a while (probably 2-4 weeks) to show up there. They will not appear in the left hand column with GPA hours-- they basically apply as credit towards your degree but do not factor into your credit hours for your GPA calculation at NCSU. But interestingly enough-- they DO count towards your hours for determining the tuition surcharge. Most students are allowed 122 credits (depends on your major) before the surcharge, but if you declare a second major they give you 30+ hours to work with before the surcharge. you can view this information under the campus finances menu and clicking on "tuition surcharge"

we usually don't update transfer data until 1 week into the semester. 8/16/2008 10:26:35 PM |
