^^I'm very familiar with it, used it for years, I know that it runs everything I want to, I trust it, etc. I just prefer it.
^I've thought about CL. still thinking on that 8/16/2008 12:32:23 PM |

for that price range you'd really be better off using ubuntu (or any flavor of linux), or finding a copy of XP with a slightly less than optimal copyright standing 8/16/2008 1:01:41 PM |

you should just rip all the less than necessary services and features out of a copy of xp home. unless you have some particular need for xp pro. its really stupid to run at all, especially on a low end machine 8/16/2008 5:48:42 PM |

nah
what's MS's licensing deal on OS's?
I have a copy of xp pro and vista ult, but both are being used on two different laptops. couldn't I just use my xp pro on another desktop? or is the license for just 1 computer?
I know my office license is for a couple of computers... 8/17/2008 2:37:24 PM |

licenses for OS products generally arent allowed to be used on multiple computers at once
and use ubuntu, you n00b
I'm willing to bet money you're not doing anything other than standard web shit, which ubuntu is perfect for
