Franchising fees really aren't that bad, cookout, considering it's a smallish franchise probably is around 50-100k. I actually briefly considered opening a Subway or Jersey Mike's a few year's ago.

well the thing that sucks about Subway franchising is that there are no exclusivity rights. So literally, you can have 2 Subways in the same strip mall with different owners. And I have actually seen that.
