Do you confess to being a man who's used a shoulder bag to carry stuff in, other than a backpack or computer case? I've used them while traveling abroad, but the more gadgets I carry around, the more practical a "fag bag" becomes for everyday use. Mine is olive drab canvas with a brown leather strap, so it at least has some shred of manliness.

As long as it's not a "fanny pack" you'll be ok. You should consider getting an oversized backpack.
