When opening a text box to edit its contents, how do you accept the changes using the keyboard and not the mouse? I'm tired of clicking "OK"

ctrl enter doesn't do it, neither does left or right clicking outside of the box. I'm using 2002 and text editor

ahh you have the OLD multiline text editor. I dont know if I ever knew how to do that back then besides press enter (because I only used 2002 a few times at an internship in college). At my disposal at work I only have 2000i, 2004, and 2006 on this current project I am on. ctrl-enter and/or left-click works in 2004 and 2006 (the two I am always in) but I just checked in 2000i and it doesnt work and I couldnt figure out how to do it :/

after you have typed what you want, tap TAB then hit Enter. (not a the same time unless you do it pretty quick, otherwise holding the tab down too long will scroll through the other interface buttons/options). This SHOULD work for you.

Not sure of you're exact purpose of editing the text but don't forget about AutoCad's find command, it is a very powerful tool that can save you time in many circumstances. There are several options to help you find a text string and replace it with another. This is very useful in a dwg file with multiple title blocks (option to search only block attributes), a drawing where multiple instances need to be changed (replace all option), or in large drawings where you know what you're looking for but not where exactly to look (e.g. a factory layout). There is also a zoom to option which is helpful in the latter situation.
