Anyone know of any good owner review websites?

More specifically, for the CS 218 DLV?

Haven't been able to find any

it's a flat bottom skiff, not much to say about it. accessories (decks, console, etc.) are pretty easy to judge by just taking a look. i guess you're wondering about the actual hull construction, and as far as that goes i've always considered them to be pretty average. nothing to write home about, but carolina skiffs are decently solid imo. a good way to check how solid a hull is is to just walk up the the gunwale and push in. a cheap boat will visibly give a little, a good boat will be, well, solid. i do feel that CSs are a lot of bang for the buck.

personally, i'm not fond of the CS layouts. they don't fit well with my uses, especially not a 21 footer. they're great for some folks though. very good for beaching and exploring an island or something. flat bottoms ride like shit and soak your ass in the lightest chop. maybe i've been spoiled by the 17' hydra-sport, idk.

post your question on ncwaterman.com. tons of people have them.

lol, I know about the CS, but I was wanting to see what others had said about them.

and the DLV has a shallow v-hull, and is dry ride guaranteed (not that it really means that, but in my experiences, they have been decent and dry rides)

"dry ride guaranteed" makes me lol hard

[Edited on August 23, 2008 at 7:06 PM. Reason : what the hell do you need 21' for?]

can't afford anything larger, and the longer the boat, the better the ride

you can say that. but I prefer more room and we just had a 16' boat and always had rough rides in it.

I don't like being on the sound/going to the outer banks on anything smaller than a 20'
