WTF is that supposed to mean shitdick? Have you had both services? I do. I see no big reason to have Sirius over XM unless you A)Like Stern B)Like NASCAR C)Like NFL. I have one of each unit, and they each have their strengths; but I see no reason to say that XM guys are lucky that the merger went through.

The music channels on Sirius are shit and I expect a lot of them to be taken over or combined with the XM channel. And while I'm a supporter of the merger, I support it as probably the best way that satellite radio can continue to compete against terrestrial radio, iPods, WiMax, and cellphones for getting audio content on the go. Not because I'm a fucking fanboi for Sirius or XM.

I have both Sirius and XM, but only have XM because it comes with DirecTV.

There is not a single XM station I like listening to on a regular basis. With Sirius, I can listen to Alt Nation, Lithium or Left of Center for days at a time without changing the station.

I've tried Ethel, Lucy and Fred, but none of them even come close to the quality that's represented on Lithium, Alt Nation and 1st Wave. And I've tried XMU and U-Pop, but neither are as consistently good as Left of Center.

I have Sirius in my car, would definitely like to see the XM NHL coverage make it way into the merged service.

I've been wanting to cancel my XM for a while now. It blows. The music stations suck. I've heard Sirius selection and its better. Not to mention I'm paying for commercial radio. iPhone + Mp3's + Pandora (for now) is all I need.

I can't tell you how many times a day I will hear one over played song on one station on XM and when i change stations its playing at the exact same point on the next station. Is there really that small of a selection of music to chose from that this happens several times a day?

I have XM and I just paid the extra $1.50 a month or whatever for the XM w/ best of Sirius.

I spend 2-3 hours a day in my car with work and school commutes so it's worth it to me. Now I get all the XM music channels plus Stern, O&A and MLB/NFL/NHL and now NBA coming this fall...

Worth it to me...

I'm starting to get a little sick of Beck. Sirius LOC and Alt Nation play his stuff absolutely too much. and he's taking over one of those two stations for the weekend. thankfully i wont be in the car or office at all

Stern is a mainstay, and I'm loving the Mad Dog's move to satellite radio. Listen to LOC and Classic Vinyl for music.

46 - Top Tracks
47 - Ethel
54 - Lucy
26 - Flight 26
30 - The Hitlist
101 - The Joint
any of the decades channels

btw, i logged on to the XM site the other day and noticed that they offer a package with music channels only for $9.99 ... which is neat because it saves you $3/mo if you don't listen to the news/talk channels.

Ferrall on the bench is on for my drivetime at night on Stern 101... damn, I loved that dude in high school. Best sports talk show out there... Fucking great.

^^^ Maddog is good, but he knows NY sports best and the show can't completely focus on that anymore. He's a bit out of his element when it comes to college sports. Wait until college basketball season. It's almost funny how little he knows about it, but tries to talk about it...
