is hard to find, so I thought I'd list places I'd had a good experience with.

1) Angus Barn - Comped a $200 meal because either the waiter or the chef messed up the order. Granted, ideally they wouldn't mess up, but comping the entire meal instead of just that entree.
2) Cabela's - I have never received anything but a live person when calling them, and they're always helpful
3) USAA - Had an unauthorized $500 charge taken off my debit card in under 20 minutes.

and go . . .

blue cross blue shield of north carolina is amazingly paying a claim that is about 8 months old, even though they don't have too

shocking, especially from an insurance company

Did this happen because you were an asshole and raised hell about it, or you just calmly said "this isn't what I ordered" and they replied "THEN YOUR WHOLE MEAL IS FREE CONGRATULATIONS"

Knowing JCASHFAN, the whole thing played out far closer to the 2nd scenario you've listed, than to the first.

While he's an asshole sometimes, it's more of the "Christ, JCash, you're such an asshole" for being right about something, or lacking in tact when pointing things out. He's not a pompous, entitled cocksmoking prick.

He's several magnitudes better than most assfucks, who would have promptly thrown the sort of snit you read about on notalwaysright.com, or waiterrant.

^^ Nah, one of my guests pointed out that her meal included bacon when she specifically requested it be omitted due to an allergy. The meal was taken back and it took about 20 minutes to get the meal back to us. We all calmly waited until the floor manager came back out and explained that she had ordered the cook to clean the entire surface to prevent cross-contamination, that our whole meal was comped, and that we were to order desert and if we weren't hungry they'd box it up for us.

Unless the waiter / waitress is being an asshole, I see no reason to be one back.

Bogart's - we went there once and apparently all the waiters thought someone else had served us (two people) and the table of 8 or so next to us. We waited ~30 minutes with nobody walking by (I didn't realize it had been that long because we were talking, but apparently it was). After the manager came by and realized we hadn't been served yet, he served us himself, gave us that meal for free and gave us $60 in gift cards for the next time we came in. I think the table next to us got that meal free, but no GCs.

That's awesome.

But I'm not fully understanding a bacon allergy: is it to pork, or to the nitrates and other additives usually found in commercial bacon?

We went to Angus Barn about 2 years ago for my mother in laws birthday. We had a reservation but it was packed and so we had to wait around 45 minutes. We didnt mind at all because they were slammed.

When they sat us they comped us 3 appetizers. The owner came up to our table later in the night and ended up comping our whole meal, desserts and alcohol included. We never so much as frowned the whole night.

its a rarity. My bad customer service thread would be a lot longer, but I'm trying to be positive today Plus good companies deserve to be rewarded for good service.

Grand Home Furniture, a Virginia furniture store similar to Ashley furniture.

Bought a king sized bed from them last October with a pillow top. In the last month or two the body impressions have gotten so deep that its hard to sleep at night. My wife called the store and they sent someone to test the bed against the warranty (1.5" depression). It didnt pass and now we're going over the weekend to pick a more firm mattress (that I wanted in the first place). They're going to pick up the old mattress and deliver the new one for free.

The great customer service is because they were nice, helpful and didnt try to bullshit us at all. Refreshing after recently dealing with our apartment complex and Comcast

^ Most businesses are good about warranty work because they're basically free money from the manufacture.

1)IBM - call center is in Atlanta, speak to someone who knows english, problem solved in less than 10 minutes

2)NewEgg. Except for their monitor return policy they're 10/10 in customer service.

The video card I ordered says it comes with a DVI to HDMI adapter, but really doesn't. Their pics and reviews I've read say it does also. Got a $25 credit to go buy one.

I was in Harris teeter and almost had to start telling the employees to leave me alone. Never been asked so many times in a grocery store if I needed help finding anything.

Haha, I did have my messenger bag. Funny thing is that I got some of the stuff in my cart free, but thanks to coupons.
