I was riding from Cary to Raleigh once with a buddy of mine. He got pulled over in Cary by a Cary cop for his headlight being out, then literally 3 miles up the road he got pulled by a Morrisville cop for the same thing. It was pretty funny.

the worst for me was when i got pulled by a morrisville cop by Ole Time BBQ and the fucker called RPD to write the ticket. is that even legal? im sure it is

you shouldnt have stopped if you were out of his jurisdiction

i tried not to...he chased me down and then told me was going to write me a ticket for evading or something like that until i bullshitted my way out of that part

Aren't all cop cars domestics, though?
8/4/2009 12:25:32 PM
All I've ever seen are, but I don't suppose they *have* to be, not a law or anything. The Pilot is probably produced in the USA anyhow. The only concern I have for things like this are, if any vehicle can be an unmarked cop, how are you going to know if the car pulling you over is legit or not? Seems like if any old character can slap some blue lights in any fairly recent car, you're going to see an increase in "blue light bandit" type of behavior. It's not like it can't be done already--any fool can buy a retired PI Crown Vic or a base model Charger--but it seems like the opportunities might increase quite a bit.

If I remember correctly, you can dial some number on your phone to call dispatch (or something) and find out if the person asking you to pull over is legit or not. I remember reading something about that in an article for women to be on the lookout for blue light bandit type folks. Was a while ago...
