and after that it was either a series of ups and downs or a gradual decline with their subsequent releases

For this exercise, we're going with their first mainstream LP release...if a rapper was selling his first mixtapes and EP's out of the trunk of his car, that doesn't count

The performer must have released multiple albums since then to qualify

My 5, in no specific order

Has never left my tape deck and probably never will

Hey fuck you...I used to be into them

The Massacre and Curtis have left me underwhelmed

There was a time when I would've blown Zach De La Rocha if he'd asked nicely.

More of a case where this record was so good that his followup's paled in comparison, even though they were pretty damn good too

WHO YA GOT ?

oh good god.

pearl jam's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th albums were better than Ten, overall in my opinion.

Dont get me wrong, Ten is still classic.

but for the record I don't dislike anything Dillinger has put out since. Although, Poison the Well, whose image somehow got red x'd just made a nosedive. Their first album was awesome, then they just sort of slid down the road to bad.

"audioslave"

that would imply that their first album was good, which it wasn't as evinced by the fact that you like it

^^I thought everyone got all of their "shitting on others" out in chit-chat.

another album:

If you say you were too cool for it at the time you're a liar.

here's how my typical sampling of Audioslave goes:

*music starts*
hey, this is pretty cool... Is this some new Rage or something??

*Cornell starts singing"
vomits
