Triangle Traffic Network has immediate openings for Part-Time Traffic Producers for Curtis Media's Raleigh-Durham traffic reporting service. We are looking for reliable, self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals to provide support to a number of traffic anchors during morning and/or afternoon rush hours. Fun, casual work environment in a department that provides timely traffic/road condition information for several radio stations. 2 or 3 hour shifts up to 10-20 hours per week.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates will thrive in a dynamic, team environment and have experience working within a fast paced department; possess excellent written and verbal communications skills; have computer literacy; be capable of handling multiple tasks under occasionally severe time constraints and be deadline driven. A strong emphasis on attention to detail and high organizational skills are a must. Knowledge of Triangle area roadways is imperative.
DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES:
. Understanding local traffic conditions to clearly and accurately input information.
. Proven knowledge of roadways in the Triangle area. . Assist in monitoring police and emergency services scanners and live traffic video. . Accountable for interfacing with TTN software applications.
. Handle multiple phone calls from traffic spotters. . Other related duties as required

^^ I don't know if I worked with him... if I did, it was when I first started working there (March last year).
^ Not that much, since the shifts are so short (always 2 or 3 hours). You could manage $100-$150 a week if you worked several days. However, if you're in school, the hours are perfect. Morning shift is over by the time classes start (6-9am or 6:45-8:45am), the afternoon shift you can do after classes (3:30-6:30pm or 4-6pm), and you still have time for homework in the evening. 8/29/2008 9:47:00 AM |

you have to bust ass for not that much money. if you're desperate and work 2 jobs, i could see someone doing this.
