my brother lives out there.... its a cool placePM if you have any questions
8/29/2008 8:35:22 PM
what other US cities would you compare it to size wise and as far as things to do.
8/29/2008 8:36:25 PM
Well, i've not been there... does that help
8/29/2008 8:37:21 PM
I was there 11 years ago But it's pretty big. Bigger than Raleigh, that's for sure.]
8/29/2008 8:38:13 PM
As far as things to do it all depends what you like to do. It has a great bar scene and if you like to hike or camp there are great places near by... i would suggest you go to pike place market, do the underground tour...
8/29/2008 8:51:58 PM
well I am thinking about moving there.
8/29/2008 9:02:22 PM
Seattle is the most overrated city
8/29/2008 9:08:21 PM
Where are you now?
8/29/2008 9:13:20 PM
i liked the time i spent in the pacific NW when I was in the military...Seattle seemed like a good city, but it was the Olympic Peninsula that really stole the show for me
8/29/2008 9:15:47 PM
It's a fun place to visit, especially in the Summer. I wouldn't mind working on a short term (<6mos) project in the Seattle area, but I wouldn't want to relo there.
8/29/2008 9:16:31 PM
no, no one has been to or lived in Seattle
8/29/2008 9:16:38 PM

My BFF just moved there. She is living in the Queen Anne area. I might be moving there next year. I've really liked it all the times I've visited so I figure why not live there for awhile.^^ Possibly. If you speak a second language your chances are much better.[Edited on August 29, 2008 at 10:24 PM. Reason : .]

8/29/2008 10:37:56 PM
^ western time zone isn't too bad, tv shows come on earlier lol. and its expensive compared to raleigh but its alot cheaper than places i have lived in CA
8/29/2008 10:43:41 PM
yeah thats whats weird to me...it would just be weird seeing situation room come on at 1pm instead of 4...the cost of living thing i could probably handle if i were working there...and theres a lot more nature/parks in the area i'm guessing(forests and what not)

I live here.It doesn't rain all the time. It's just permanently wet from late October through May. In terms of East Coast rain, it "rains" like 5-10 times a year. When it actually rains here people go apeshit. "Rain" here is what morning misting is on the east coast.I actually like it a lot here. The area I live in feels a lot like the good parts of Raleigh, but theres about 10,000 more things to do on a daily basis. MUCH safer than RDU, costs about the same.Never gets much above 80 in the summer, and rarely goes below 40 in the winter. Usually its mid 50's in the daytime and upper 40's at night (Oct through March or so)
8/29/2008 11:18:49 PM
^would you picture portland as being very similar?
8/29/2008 11:20:09 PM
No. It's much colder, much smaller, and insanely more expensive.
8/29/2008 11:23:25 PM
well fuck...i didnt think it was that much smaller, and i figured it would be hotter cause its more south

I live in Seattle. Really cool place. Compared to Raleigh, Summers short but really nice and mild no humidity. People are really friendly and laid back. Violent crime is low. I love it better than anyplace else I have ever lived and that includes Raleigh. Lots of things to do and see.

I live in Seattle. It has a good sense of place - but it's a character that some people will really appreciate and other people will completely not understand.Ask if you want to know anything. [Edited on August 30, 2008 at 8:14 AM. Reason : asdf]
