As far as things to do it all depends what you like to do. It has a great bar scene and if you like to hike or camp there are great places near by... i would suggest you go to pike place market, do the underground tour... 8/29/2008 8:51:58 PM |

i liked the time i spent in the pacific NW when I was in the military...Seattle seemed like a good city, but it was the Olympic Peninsula that really stole the show for me 8/29/2008 9:15:47 PM |

It's a fun place to visit, especially in the Summer. I wouldn't mind working on a short term (<6mos) project in the Seattle area, but I wouldn't want to relo there. 8/29/2008 9:16:31 PM |

My BFF just moved there. She is living in the Queen Anne area. I might be moving there next year. I've really liked it all the times I've visited so I figure why not live there for awhile.
^^ Possibly. If you speak a second language your chances are much better.

yeah thats whats weird to me...it would just be weird seeing situation room come on at 1pm instead of 4...the cost of living thing i could probably handle if i were working there...and theres a lot more nature/parks in the area i'm guessing(forests and what not) 8/29/2008 11:09:58 PM |

I live here.
It doesn't rain all the time. It's just permanently wet from late October through May. In terms of East Coast rain, it "rains" like 5-10 times a year. When it actually rains here people go apeshit. "Rain" here is what morning misting is on the east coast.
I actually like it a lot here. The area I live in feels a lot like the good parts of Raleigh, but theres about 10,000 more things to do on a daily basis. MUCH safer than RDU, costs about the same.
Never gets much above 80 in the summer, and rarely goes below 40 in the winter. Usually its mid 50's in the daytime and upper 40's at night (Oct through March or so) 8/29/2008 11:18:49 PM |

I live in Seattle. Really cool place. Compared to Raleigh, Summers short but really nice and mild no humidity. People are really friendly and laid back. Violent crime is low. I love it better than anyplace else I have ever lived and that includes Raleigh. Lots of things to do and see. 8/30/2008 7:40:55 AM |

I live in Seattle. It has a good sense of place - but it's a character that some people will really appreciate and other people will completely not understand.
Ask if you want to know anything.
