i just talked to alltel tech support and they said that ncsu was probably "blocking my 425" and i should contact them. apparently it's what allows you to send email from a mobile device.
i guess i'll call the help desk tomorrow. 9/1/2008 10:17:24 PM |

Finally updated to 2.0 this weekend, and havent been able to get new mail since. It has everything I had before the update still available, but it just sits there on "Checking for mail..." constantly. Same deal whether Im on Edge or Wifi, yahoo or gmail account. Anyone else had this? 9/3/2008 4:22:36 AM |

haven't seen that one myself. i'd double-check your settings, just to be sure. if they're correct, you might want to flash/reinstall the phone's software. 9/3/2008 8:53:21 AM |

you might want to use your cell phone provider's smtp servers - at&t is weird about external smtp - if you're on at&t, it's cwmx.com
as far as smtp.ncsu.edu - you have to authenticate to it before you can send. 10/7/2008 9:43:53 PM |
