For the past 30 years democrats have strived to show that the female and women in general can out-do or out-perform the male.

This is exactly what Sarah Palin is. A mother, worker, wife, and politician who has out succeeded her husband and other men and who is also taking care of her kids.

This is exactly what all liberals have wanted for decades and now since the republicans have a woman at the forefront who is exactly what they have wanted, you no idea what to do. You simply hate her to death.

You simply hate her guts and see her daughters pregnancy as an undomesticated republican and have no idea what to think. We should take Obamas lead on this. I think he said it best.

If you want to get into un-wed pregnancies look at Obama himself. Then look at all his acquaintences such as Reverand Wright and Louis Farrakhan.

This is nothing but a full proof scenario on how out of touch democrats are with mainstream america and its families.

wait

what do you mean, "finally?"

also, if you see putting Sarah Palin on the ticket as anything other than tokenism, you're just as out of touch as the left.

Yes, I definitely blame Obama for being born to an unwed mother. How could he allow that to happen?!? Clearly he is unfit to be President if he can't control his own mom.

I have no problem with a woman president/VP if she is fit for the position. Espicially since for a large part this position acts as a figurehead since no single person can be the expert in all matters of area pretaining to run a country. Queens Elizabeth I and Victoria were some of the most powerful individuals of their day.

What I don't like about Palin

- Lack of experince

- Relationship w/ Big Oil

- The sketchy trooper scandal.

- Her pro life stance and strong advocate of Bible Thumper Christian Family Values. I do not consider her knocked up daughter is a disqualification. What i do count as a disqualification is the fact that she strongly supports abstience only sex ed in public schools. YET she did not even succeed with this in her own family. This calls into question her ability to execute as a high political figure. Perhaps had she been realistic versus idealistic she would have had a sit down with her daughter encouraging the use of condoms/the pill and her daughter might not be having a shotgun wedding.

- The Evangelical Crowd rallying around her.

- McCain using her as a tool for scooping up moderate Hillary fans with the female token versus her actual qualifications.

- I think Romney would have been a lot better.

Seriously, theDuke866, do I have to make another thread about this guy?

I'm fine with logically sound arguments that are different from mine, but this is just batshit insane and intentionally divisive.

Suspend this guy or force him to stick to one thread.

With Obama as president, you get Joe Biden's experience helping him out on the day to day issues.

If Palin is president, that means McCain is dead and his experience is gone with him to the grave. No help to Palin.

What tokenism? She's the exact antithesis of the left. She's more conservative than John McCain is.

The left isn't even aware of this yet, and they'll destroy themselves in the process of trying to destroy her and all that she stands for.

Um, in case you haven't noticed, the number of candidates on the far right aren't exactly few and far-in-between.

All other things equal, if Sarah Palin was a male, she would not have been picked. By definition, that is tokenism.

Sorry, but I've seen your posts csharp and they reek of stupidity of the highest magnitude. I hate to be mean but you need to be called out....all of your posts are inflammatory uber-biased, backwards, acidic digs with no basis.

You're like fat Limbaugh or Hannity except sadly LESS informed then they are and you have the anonymous internet 4th wall to protect your blatant lies.

Rewind a few years guys. Look at Clarence Thomas. Scrutinized to the ends of the earth.

Eventually appointed.

Palins route will be very similar.

Well the debate i am having is qualifying her as a good pick for VP as I had already vouched my support for McCain. The XP factor one of several reasons why I am not voting for Obama in the first place. Thus really it would almost be hypocritical for me not to frown upon Palin limited tenure in big shot politics.

^exactly like Palin will be.

He was the greatest threat to liberalism and everything it stood for. Palin will only be worse. It show not only how out of touch democrats are with miniorities even amongst themselves, but also how out of touch they are with almost all informed and educated women.

But if Palin's résumé is limited, to put it politely, she possesses the only two qualities that McCain now seems to consider essential: She is a right-wing religious ideologue with female gender characteristics. I mean, seriously guys - how can you possibly say that Sarah Palin is the most qualified person for this job? She's not even close to being the most qualified female in Washington or anywhere else

you're calling Obama a Washington insider.
A Jr. Senator with <4 years experience in the Senate is now an "insider"......

I've visited DC 3 or 4 times now. How many more times before I get my own Insider badge?

engrish.

ok, but really last time: obama preaches we don't need a washington insider.
he is not a washington insider.
QED.

Sarah Palin is not a washington insider,
he claims she doesn't have enough experience in washington.

I mean, seriously, "most qualified" candidate isn't always the one who is chosen, for whatever reason, so why is it such a big deal in Palin's case?

ok, fair enough - the "most qualified" candidates are rarely if ever chosen for any race.

But again, please tell me why Palin is more qualified or better suited on nearly any metric than any of the other names that were being tossed around. You know, besides the fact that she's a woman and may sway some of the more idiotic PUMA (yeah i know, redundant) people

You are right. The Hillary supporting christian "conservatives" democrats" are likely the only one of the many US ideological groups McCain will pick up with Palin. On the other hand he very way may have many other leaving his grips who would be disaffected by Mrs. Palins hard core social values conservative agenda.

The DNC needs to keep these "conservative democrats" in line as they contain a lot of powerful figures. However, in the long run this group has been losing power since the 60's in favor of the GOP

Consider me your friend ex-Hillary supporter.

Obama needs a fastball or 2 to grab my attention.

How about an energy plan? air in your tires.
Got any national security program that relieves us from big brother burden? nope.
Any sort of health care program that isn't a socialism rip off that taxes us to a depression? negative
A revolutionary technology to get us off oil besides "clean coal"(lol @ clean coal)? nah
ANything?

Two words for you: John Connor. Clearly he wouldn't let this happen to his own mother - before he was born! (Well, at least let his mother be killed by Terminators. He did, however, engineer his own out-of-wedlock birth...)
