Went a couple of years ago. It was alright.

Lemurs are some noisy bastards.

My wife is a veterinary pathologist... she's been there a couple times for work-related crap. Primate work bothers her though... too human-like and some uncomfortable studies.

If you take any of State's biology courses you go there for field trips. I've gone once with a BIO class and once with a ZO class. Great place.

Some of the critters aren't very active though.

been about a dozen times probably, they have a pretty decent facility overall, especially since they have been renovating much of it in the past 20 years... i need to take someone there to look at the little proto-monkeys

yeah, i went with a bio lab to the lemur center, and like everyone else says it's pretty cool.

I've also toured/volunteered at CPT and that place is really awesome as well. Lots of big cats with amazing and crazy stories. Two of the tigers they have were found as cubs just walking down a road in Concord.

The two cubs were found in Cleveland county. They arrived while I interned there.
They've grown a ton too
