It gives money to people who are fiscally irresponsible and blow it right back in the economy.
Giving the middle class tax cuts doesn't... most of the middle class is moderately fiscally responsible and will usually save/ invest their savings (in times of a recession).

You know, you might think that working for a business that deals with a lot of EBT shoppers, welfare/WIC moms, etc. might give you a bit of compassion for people who receive it, but you'd be completely wrong. i always had people come in and buy a ton of candy.
piece by piece and i would have to give them change back (real money)

like they'd give me a $1 food stamp for a 30 cent piece of candy and i would give them 70 cents back.
they would continually do this through out the day and then buy a 40 with the change i've given them.

no shit.
