Thinking about it. Does it require a subscription or anything? Why is the creature creator sold separately, I thought that was the whole point of the game?

That game would eat my life if I owned it.

So no.

I have to. I am so addicted to The Sims and Sim City. It's like the same guy. He knows what rocks my boat.

I too, was addicted to the Sims.

I came out of a Sims binge at 5 AM after playing for 10+ hours that day once.

It was then I realized focusing on real life might be better.

Acquire it by any means necessary, which includes petty crime like piracy, but not really bad crime like murder.

exactly! I've played it a few hours both yesterday and today, and I knew I had to shut it down otherwise I'd be up all night with my tribe.

[insert comic about Will Wright's Pee experience here]

Jeebus Andy, I mention this game to you on AIM cause I want to play it and you have to blog about it on TWW about how you want it. Can't you be original?

I would get it, but I can't dedicate the amount of time that this game requires to get any real satisfaction or progress. At least with simple FPS, I'm happy with a few headshots in a match when playing in one hour blocks.

I'm a little wary of the 5 install limit and the DRM it comes with. If they'd quit using secuROM in their products I might be down with it. It's damn annoying when you have to crack software you bought, legally, because it doesn't like the fact that you have other things installed on your system that might be used to pirate something someday. It looks totally cool and I love most of the stuff released by Will Wright and company, but EA can't help but ruin some of the good things about Maxis by requiring them to include machiavellian DRM software with their products.

I have been enjoying Spore. I zipped through the first 2 levels and was mucking my way through the tribal phase, when I decided to start over and put a little more thought into it. I don't find it as addicting as the Sims and SimCity series of games, but I do like it. I think that I may get a little more sucked into it once I made it further in the game.

^^^Mindstorm ftw....lots of people have had trouble with the DRM on Spore...not being able to register for the first time etc...if ya want all the details listen to the last few episodes of CNETs "Buzz Out Loud" podcast (bol.cnet.com)...they have hashed out all of the DRM issues there....
