when i receive friend requests on myspace and facebook from people i don't like...

especially people from people from my past that were such monstrous assholes and bitches to me...

like last week...i got a friend request from this girl that was basically (to quote my brother) my "arch nemesis" for the first 18 years of my life...

i accepted strictly on the grounds that i'm almost 30 and childhood grudges shouldn't matter at this point...especially since i haven't really seen or heard from this girl since we graduated 11 years ago...

but 18 years of dislike is nothing to sneeze at...

we threw rocks at each other on the playground the second day of kindergarten....she sat in front of me on the school bus and would tell me i was adopted and my parents were getting a divorce because they didn't love me....i told her i was going to beat her ass some day before she died....it was really a very loving relationship...

i found out a few years ago, however, that my dad saw her at the store one day and she asked him about me and he told her all about how my life was going and she said something along the lines of "i always admired her so much...she was so smart and so involved...she did all the things growing up i wish i would have done...i'm really happy for her that she's doing well...."

the one i got today was from another girl that was a raging bitch to me...

i was a really fat little kid in elementary school and my mom made me wear ugly clothes....then i was really skinny in middle school and inherited a lot of really nice clothes from my mom's rich boss' daughter...

the girl "let" me be in "her crowd" for a while and i thought that was pretty cool until i got banished again for not kissing her ass...her exact words to me were "i hated you when you were fat...but now that you are skinny and wear cool clothes I'll be your friend"...

girls are so precious at that age

Why the fuck are you even on myspace?

Also, this thread is dumb. Just don't add them, it isn't difficult.

to stay on topic:

I continue to ignore a friend request from this girl that I have a strange background with because my present girlfriend would be very upset if I were to list her as a friend knowing what she does about our history

I only add people that I'm better than. That way, I can rub my success in ALL of their faces at the same time, but do it in a non-obvious fashion.
Occasionally, I'll read their memos and cater my facebook or myspace from that.
For example, if one person leaves a note about how much they hate their job, I'll leave a status message telling everyone how much I enjoy going to work everyday

^^^I also enjoy doing that. It's like going to a high school reunion to rub your success and hotness in the face of others. Only you can do it every day, which is awesome.

there should be a private friends feature...

where you can friend somebody but nobody else would know

i also think there should be an option for putting multiple names under "it's complicated" in the relationship section...unless there is more than one person involved then i don't see how it's complicated...

you either are or you aren't

stuff white people like
message_topic.aspx?topic=514611&page=3

Quote :
"#106 Facebook

Social Networking sites have been embraced by white people since their inception. Because these sites use profile pages, white people can more efficiently judge friends and future friends on their taste in film, books, music, and inspirational quotes. Advanced level white people, fearful of being judged on their tastes from last week, will often only list one or two ironic things as their favorites. For example under music they would simply list “P.M. Dawn” or under films they would choose only Armageddon. In both cases these ironic answers serve as protective shields from the harsh gaze of other white people.

However, it is important to remember that the “where” is often as important as the “who” when it comes to social networking. As noted in earlier posts, white people are obsessed with being in the right neighborhood and the Internet is no exception.

In the early days, white people joined a social networking service called Friendster where they could connect with old friends and make new ones. Eventually, white people started to notice more and more of their friends on MySpace, so they closed their Friendster accounts and migrated to the new service. It was like living in a neighborhood that was pretty good but kind of far away, so you might have to miss out on a few parties. Needless to say, this was unacceptable.

For a brief period of time, MySpace was the site where everyone kept their profile and managed their friendships. But soon, the service began to attract fake profiles, the wrong kind of white people, and struggling musicians. In real world terms, these three developments would be equivalent to a check cashing store, a TGIFridays, and a housing project. All which strike fear in the hearts of white people.

White people were nervous but had nowhere else to go. Then Facebook came along and offered advanced privacy settings, closed networks, and a clean interface. In respective real world terms, these features are analogous to an apartment or house with a security system/doorman, an alumni dinner, and a homeowners association that protects the aesthetics of the neighborhood. In spite of these advances, some white people still clung to their old MySpace accounts. That was until they learned that Facebook started, like so many things beloved by white people, at Harvard."
