I think it is more of a northern thing, or at least PA Dutch. My family up in PA say shit like that all the time. They also say shit like "Outen that light" instead of "Turn out that light"

That sounds WAY more like a Penn Dutch thing, than a northern thing, seeing as how that's very much a german syntax and feel.

"Turn out that light" would be "Machen das Licht aus"

close, they are German but live in the heart of PA Dutch Country. They all have crazy accents, to the point that if you haven't been around them for a while it almost doesn't sound English. And, they are about 20 minutes from Lancaster, so it is pretty common to see Horse and Buggies rolling through town.
