fcking guy charged 39 to get here.
89 for the lock and another . . . 49 for labor. also, changed a spring that was causing my handle to not open properly for 25. that i was appreciative of.
spent $215 total . . . and only got (1) copy of the key. my old one was on the ring too. found out it was the old one, but not the spare and i found this very creepy.
locksmith was an Isreali Army vet, which equally has me freaking out too.

are you really too stupid to pick up a screwdriver and do it yourself? would have cost you $100 and you would have gotten a baller ass lock 9/13/2008 9:26:24 PM |

actually i tried that, but apparently someone else did and stripped the groove in the door. so the guy earned his $200 bucks. he broke a drill bit trying to pry it off.
also replaced a spring and bolt on the second part of the door. the lock was the equivalent of what i had. it was 89 bucks. its the double-side where you use the key to go in and out for like security purposes. the 59 buck lock was the regular one and I didn't want to downgrade. even if living here is temporary. i'm bouncing . . . . closer to Ocean Drive. 9/13/2008 10:06:34 PM |
