How old does rap/r&b music have to be to be considered old school? I personally don't think anything made after 1995 or so isn't old school.

I think the 'Chronic' album was the turning point in rap history. Anything before then is old school.

The reason why I thought this up is b/c a radio station had some kind of "Old School Jam of the Day" segment and they played some DMX song from like 5 or 6 years ago. I was thinking wtf that isn't old school.

Oh I don't know fans of the genre and music historians.

I don't care much for the rap music of today. It's ok to bob your head to or dance to when you are in a club with some girl, but there's not much substance to a lot of it.
