For sale: August, 2007 Lenovo T61 Thinkpad ( laptop notebook pc computer ), with almost three years left on the factory-original lenovo warranty AND accidental damage protection plan (yes, three years REMAINING. It was a four-year warranty when I bought it.)
A quick word on the accidental damage protection plan: it is factory-original from lenovo, and it means that ANY damage (for any reason at all) will be fixed promptly by lenovo at no cost, as if it were a warranty repair. It is literally one of the best service plans available for any laptop today, and guarantees your laptop's functionality until August, 2011.
$995 cash - this was over $1800 new and is one of the highest rated PC/windows laptops available (check cnet.com). Vista runs quickly on this machine!
2.0GHz core 2 duo processor, 2gb RAM (original 1gb stick included as well), 120gb HDD, Windows Vista Home Premium + Office, DVD-R (burner) drive, integrated light (to see the keyboard in the dark), etc - comes with orig. Owner's manual and restore discs (not normally supplied, but I requested them). I bought this laptop new, I do not smoke or have children. Never dropped or damaged (but if you did, you'd be covered until August 2011!). Has normal signs of wear but nothing that stands out. Can send photos via email. Looks like every other thinkpad out there...
I am a medical student in Greenville, and I come to Raleigh to see family/friends on most weekends. I can be flexible about meeting you in Raleigh, Wilson or Greenville after Sept 25th. Until then, I will be in Greenville. I know it sounds odd, but that's just my schedule.

- this is a really nice laptop and I am only selling it to purchase a mac laptop - trades are considered.

I just got this exact same laptop, plus an extra gig of ram, and its sweet and Tim is right the warranty is the shit. My old Thinkpad has had beer spilled on it, its been dropped, ect. Every time I have done something to it IBM promptly sends me a box to mail it back to them and I have a like new laptop a couple of weeks later.
You can do ANYTHING to this laptop and they will still fix it. Hell you could go swimming with it and IBM would still fix it.
Enough said its a good laptop and has one of the best warranty protection plans EVER!
if only my poor ipod had such a plan 9/18/2008 7:01:38 PM |

yeah I realize all offers on tww usually top out at $1.50 but there's always hope. I am open to reasonable offers, of course. 9/18/2008 7:44:31 PM |

and as I said before, I'm asking 995. The price I sell it for will also be dictated by the market. I just posted it on CL... 9/19/2008 9:28:47 AM |

I have a macbook 2.1GHz, it's been used but not abused. I do not have apple care on it. I used it at home for 8 months, and didn't take it to class with me. I quit using it when I found got a great deal on building a desktop. Now my apple just sits on the shelf like it has for the last 5 months.
I upgraded to 2.5gb of ram as only 1gb came with it. It's fast and battery holds true.
If you are interested let me know. I kinda want to get away from mac.
I also live in GVegas

^^^FYI - It's Lenovo, a Chinese company that bought the Thinkpad brand over a year ago. They're doing very well at revitalizing and modernizing the name. 9/28/2008 10:58:29 PM |
