I haven't been following his professional career too closely, but this seems like a bigger card than his previous fights and should be a good match.

Very good fight for casual fans. Although neither can be considered elite fighters, they are two of the biggest names in the sport to casual fans. I haven't watched much MMA since I used to rent the early UFC tapes while in middle school, but I still consider myself a Ken Shamrock fan and hope he can win. Although Slice is not that young, the up and coming fighter against a legend on the decline is always a good angle and would help give Slice some credibility if he wins.

Shamrock got beat down by Tito and as much as I hate to say it, Kimbo is going destroy Ken.

He just hits so much harder than Tito.

Kimbo will own Shamrock. I don't even know why this fight was scheduled. I'd put my money on a KO, first round, probably first minute, going to Kimbo.

Shamrock is a washed out old man. He couldn't even beat a no namer from the UK a few months ago.

actually Roy Nelson is a solid freakin fighter and arlovski won so i dont see how he has "fallen"

Kimbo will be aiight he needed that loss now maybe the elitexc hype train will get off him and kimbo can just train and get better without all that extra BS surroundin him...he is 1-1 against decent, experienced fighters so thats by no means the end of his career

I see Elite XC as a comparison to WCW vs. WWF/E

Elite XC is WCW just after Ted Turner formed it going after fighters that were stars in UFC such as Shamrock, Arlovski, and Tito to make a name for itself. It went after a sideshow (Kimbo Slice) and forced UFC to pull a similar move (Brock Lesnar). It will be interesting to see if Elite XC's lesser known fighters can step up and take the bull by the horns and become a competitor to the UFC. Right now I would say not, Kimbo is not a good pro fighter he has too many bad habits and a trained fighter will take advantage of his weaknesses. See last night. Kimbo didn't care about the loss because he probably negotiated the winners purse from if he fought Shamrock just to step into the cage with Petrazelli. Kimbo got paid which is why he didn't care that he lost.

Theres nothin wrong with starting up an org like that if you can pay the fighters. the problem with eliteXC is that they are not even promoting any of there lesser known fighters. Hell they hadnt even been promoting their champions (KJ Noons..lol well ex-champion, Robbie Lawler, Jake Shields, and...hell i dont even know) All they have promoted is Gina Carano, Kimbo, and Nick Diaz (who doesnt really need the promotion)so they have puit all their egs in one basket and sooner or later it will get old to even the most casual of fans

Look at WEC, that org is doing a great job of promoting all their fighters and champions. Casual fans know who Miguel torres, pulver, urijah, Brian Stann, curran, etc. WEC took names from the UFC as well, but at least they are promoting all their fighters and not filling all their cards with the same god damn headliners every show

im not even getting into the trashy boxing type antics and totally contrived pre-fight scuffles.

Elite XC will never be legit because it is on network tv. They have to worry too much about the blood factor and people getting seriously hurt. That worry for censorship will cause fights to get stopped early, case in point in both of Kimbo's fights. Neither of those fights needed to be stopped when they did. Its fun to watch for the fact that i dont have to pay for it but it wont last.

i dont care about glove taps as long as the guy who doesnt want to do it doesnt haul off and attack while the other guy is tryna touch gloves

i agree about the network tv thing, there are too many BS stoppages...the worst was the last gina carano fight where kaitlin young got a small cut and the doc came in and stopped it between rounds

After watching last night, this is the last time I'll dedicate any time to EliteXC. Anyone who follows MMA knew it was just a matter of time before Kimbo lost. I mean seth petruzzeli if I remember correctly was on The Ultimate Fighter and didn't even make it to the end. I really dislike the presentation and the announcing. It sucks Kimbo wasn't able to work his way into fighting the right way and possibly legitimately make a name for himself. That being said, I'm not on the Brock Lesnar train, but lets be honest, comparing him and kimbo isn't really fair. Kimbo just lost to seth petruzelli while brock lesnar just finished dominating heath herring. The most interesting matchup of the night was Roy vs Arlovski. I just see elitexc as a bad product and haven't really enjoyed it either time I've watched. I also agree that it was ridiculous hearing the announcers go crazy about kimbo losing...seriously?
