theres something wrong with the southern tip of south carolina (maybe the simple fact that it's south carolina?). down here, i have not been able to find a JBC for less than $1.29. that's almost a third more than the normal cost, and they still air commercials playing with me that they sell for 99 cents "at participating locations". fuuuuuuck

and even though im not a big fan of mcdonald's, i go there and usually get the double cheeseburger. but now even that shit is going for $1.19 here.

The .99 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy's is the corner stone of the broke college student's diet. I can remember digging up change in couch cushions and in the floor boards of my car to pay for a meal in college. I occasionally still order one for old time's sake.

But yes, I have noticed that in some Wendy's the are >.99 and I don't know why.

^^ hahahaha i've paid for entire fast food meals from change in my car before. and it wasn't just quarters. pennies and nickels ftw. that always makes the people at the drive through REALLY happy. but you obviously have to go to the drive through to avoid holding up the line inside and having people get seriouslllllly pissed at you.

while i realize that food prices are going up everywhere, im not a big fan of these fast food places making these super-fancy burgers when we all realize it's just fucking fast food. i dont go to fast food and expect a quality burger. i want something that i can squirt a bunch of ketchup on and jam down my gullet, feeling some sense of satiety afterwards.

but there really is no cheap food here. where i am, it takes a 30 minute drive to the grocery store (a pitiful IGA that sells a bunch of expired goods (i've tried to buy milk there before only to find EVERY jug was 2+ days expired)), sit down restaurant, or fast-food. and the fast food places are always fucking horrible with hella long waits (taco bell takes roughly 10 minutes in line and 10 minutes waiting for food).

i wish ramen wasnt so fucking horrible. i wonder if real asian ramen noodles are that bad.
