I love Charlie Kaufman so much.

Have been wondering lately when the Galaxy would be getting this.

most people will probably say "that philip seymour hoffman movie"

they usually do when we have one of his movies

in any case, I'm hitting this up at some point

all I can think of when I say this title out loud is Schenectady, NY and its screwing me up haha.

skuh-nek-tuh-dee

vs

si-nek-duh-kee

Obviously they are not the same, but there is something similar there, and having heard Schenectady all my life from friends and family I keep wanting to say that instead of the correct title haha.

Synecdoche, New York is set in Schenectady, New York.

I'm just loving the fact that even if this movie is completely uneven and ham-handed in parts because Kaufman has never directed, it'll still be awesome because of the sheer ambition involved in making it.

Great shit.

Not 100% great, but definitely worth your dollars.

The fairy speech made me cry.

The more I think about this movie, the more I'm like "meh." Totally jumps the tracks towards the end.

About 75% of it, I really liked

but yeah, it did get ridiculous towards the end

I can't hear the movie title without thinking of Kurt Vonnegut.

Loved it, even moreso after I had some time to digest.

It's pretty heavy, maybe even depressing, but I also thought it was really funny.

Charlie Kaufman is the best writer.

Perhaps, but it's his direction that causes problems.

saw it. some parts I had no clue what was going on but near the end of the movie I got fucking chills and I wasn't sure why. see it if you liked any of Kaufman's other stuff, otherwise you might be giving up on it early on.
