CAUTION: WORDS

but i promise its interesting!

i started off today with a flat tire... went to class... the AAA guy came to fix said tire...

i wait 45 minutes at the Ford dealer to realize that I left my backpack with my money and EVERYTHING in it sitting on the curb on METHOD road (bad idea) and had nothing to pay the guys with

I flip out and call my boss to see if she sees it since it was left in front of my work, she doesnt see it, i call the cops who insist they will call me back...

i go to talk to some homeless people who sit outside on method all day long to see if they saw anything... of course they didnt

come back in and hour to buy them dinner because i am a nice person and i wanted to see if they had heard anything

my mom calls... they have found my backpack... the homeless guy who picked it up tried to use my debit card 2x, my credit card 3x (and succeeded in buying about $10 worth of stuff from food lion) had been riding around on a bicycle with my backpack on... he got hit by a car and was in the ICU

crazy day

got my backpack back with MOST of the stuffs in it yaaaayy!

sorry for all the words

so what you're saying is...

b/c you bought some homeless people dinner to extort information from them, you got your backpack back via a homeless man on a bike being hit by a car?

it'd be a better story if the bum didn't use your credit card to buy FOOD.

Holy fuck. You better pray he gets better now.

I mean, it's not quite like he robbed you, you left your stuff in a highly public place and walked away. It's sort of like dropping your wallet while walking through the mall.

I could easily see justifying his getting arrested (if this had happened) as karma, but it's not like he committed a violent act that would necessitate a violent act being done to him in order to restore balance in the universe.

It's good you got your stuff back, but don't be too happy about the guy getting nailed by the car. That's a little... strange...

Yeah and an honest person would turn the wallet in to the cops or the nearest store

I have found at least a dozen wallets when working at the mall (people are dumb lol) and never once did I consider scamming their credit cards.

^That's because you are a good person, unlike 90% of the shitheads on this site who would sell their mother down the river for a quarter on the sidewalk.

Why should you feel bad, you didn't press charges like many people would have.

i realized quick enough that my bag had been picked up by someone and canceled the cards so that he only got in like one purchase. My roommate did point out the fact that even if I didnt prosecute, he was probably going to prosecute the person in the car who hit him... so that made me think for just a sec but if he's in that bad of shape money wise I dont know how successful he will be in pressing charges.

agreed, no...truth is, I thought the same thing.

Doubt it, bikes have to follow the rules of the road so it's the same as a car + car accident. I'd say he was probably not esp. since he was running around trying to use stolen cards.

haha, thanks for your support everyone!

I dont think im going to file anything although with the stuff he threw out and my backpack being useless b/c one of the straps is ripped off, i lost about $300 worth of stuff. He tossed a text book, TI-83, a binder, and my agenda... I think the court costs would be more than that hmmm???

p.s. if anyone sees a news article of a man riding a bike who got hit by a car late yesterday, send me the link!
