I heard somewhere this math works out to ~$10,000 per US household. Frankly $10,000 tax-free money would bail out 90% of the investors I know who've lost a ton to poor 401K's and such.

told you, I am independent. I see good points in both sides.

I also wouldn't like to get the same amount as the guys I see sitting down on MLK drinking 40s all day collecting welfare while I am working my ass off, barely making enough to cover my bills every month. Reward those that are doing the best to pay their debt and could really use that little extra to get out of the hole, not those that just sit around milking the system or their parents.
