yea I mean I enjoy the death cab one but after youve listened to it a few times, Id take the death cab versions over nearly every one of the string ones (I really do like Blacking Out the Friction among a few others though). They are a minimalist, vocal centered band and after the newness of the idea wears off if I want to hear a death cab song I want to be hearing gibbard's version.

these are really cool, but after about two songs i always end up just putting on the non-tribute version of the album.

they're terrible and they shouldn't be wasting space under the category "Classical" because they're not fucking classical

I've never seen them under classical. I always see them under whatever group they did the tribute to.
