Old thread is dead...

Just got into this game recently. Huge space battles are pretty much the wins overall. I really like how the whole thing is kinda 2d, but you just tilt the camera, turn on cinematic mode (turn off icon overlays), and you have an instant awesome scene.

So far I've played 3 FFA computer games, 2 as TEC (1 easy, 1 medium), and 1 as Advent (medium). The advent one was a 4 player FFA, and the 3 other guys kept attacking me b/c I was the biggest in the beginning, but it leveled up my capital ships and eventually one of them gave me a mission that was kill the other guy's ships, and then he gave me a "give me 200 crystal" mission, so he became my ally.

Huge maps are kinda annoying, because by the time you've dominated one starsystem, you're just a roaming gang of death.

An excellent game. I think the only thing that got annoying was the sweeping in the end. You become so dominant that victory is certain, but you've got to take the time to go system-by-system, sweep aside their remaining defenses, and nuke all those planets.

I want to buy it so bad, but I can't jeopardize my academics any more than I already have.
