They got great rates now. 5% on 12 month CD @ Wamu. 4% for savings. Wachovia has 4.15% on 12 month cd.
Is it too risky? FDIC is supposed to gaurantee all the depositor's money and their interests.. 9/30/2008 4:28:45 PM |

Technically, Wachovia did NOT fail. It was bought out and merged. There is no expected draw from the FDIC. I think you'd be just fine. 9/30/2008 4:37:20 PM |

Damn.. WaMu's CD's must've gone up a lot.. I had a CD with them for 4 years in high school and used the money I saved to buy a car but the rate was way lower than that. 10/1/2008 11:05:31 PM |

I just told my parents to sign up for the 5% deal. There's nothing to worry about. 10/2/2008 3:47:09 PM |
