I dont think i've bought a pair of sneakers in literally 3 years. I hardly ever wear them, but i want a new pair.

The Asics? I like that style for actual running shoes (although I cannot wear asics when I run).

I like the first style for casual wear.. the Nikes. I knew a guy who would wear running shoes out on a night on the town and it drives me nuts. I know it sounds superficial... but I am not a big fan of going out in running shoes and jeans... unless you are going to the grocery store.

IMO nothing beats a nice pair of chuck taylors but that's just me...

Yeah i only wear like my funky/dress shoes when i'm going out... or dr. martins if i'm feeling that my toes are in danger of being stomped on.

But i do not waste miles walking around target or @ a bar in my running shoes

trust me guys, i agree, i am the last guy you'd see wearing running shoes or sneakers when i'm out, or in the city or anywhere other than stopping in the local dive bar for a few beers. And I don't run, so getting a pair of asics is pretty useless for me cause they'd never get to do their job.

I'm leaning towards springing on those nikes.
