Season 2 starts tonight at 8pm on ABC. I remembered to set my DVR last night before I went to bed since I have to work all day.

I watched this show all in one week last spring (didn't have access to TV last fall). It was weird/great.

glad it's back

I know this is backwards sounding but the strike actually helped shows like this and Chuck who maybe weren't able to find a decent audience during their shortened first season.

Olive is both annoying and yet so arousing at the same time. If she had a slightly less annoying voice..

Decent first episode that was bogged down by the that recap at the beginning but I understand why it was there.

Here are the viewer totals for Wednesday night:
Quote :
"FOX's "Bones" led the 8 p.m. hour with a 6.1/10. CBS' "New Adventures of Old Christine" and "Gary Unmarried" finished second in households, but NBC's "Knight Rider" (4.6/7), which grew a tiny bit from its premiere, had more total viewers. The premiere of "Pushing Daisies" scored only a 4.1/7, well below its average from last season. "America's Next Top Model" earned a 2.7/4 for The CW."

Great show. Chi McBride is probably the funniest part of the show and Olive is the best to look at.

Quote :
"It's sad but also sadly predictable news – ABC has pulled the plug on Pushing Daisies. Last week Daisies creator Bryan Fuller told me that a lot was riding on the ratings for this week's episode… which turned out to be another drop for the show.

Fuller now tells Eonline's Kristin Dos Santos that Pushing Daisies is indeed over, saying, "[ABC president] Steve McPherson called me, and said 'We gave it the best shot we could.' "

Fuller says that he is speaking to DC Comics about doing a Pushing Daises comic book to wrap up the storylines left dangling from the final episode of the series, which will be the 13th of Season 2. He also says he has a pitch for a Pushing Daisies movie "ready to go."

Adds Fuller, "To be honest, I'm really not feeling very boo-hoo about it. I am so proud of the show. We put together 22 really good episodes, and there is a lot to be proud of. I'm sure I'll be working with a lot of these people again, and I would love to do so."

Meanwhile, the Hollywood Reporter says two more ABC series, Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone, are done too – like Daisies, they won't continue past episode 13 this season. As often the case in TV, ABC isn't officially saying any of these shows are cancelled, but it's extremely unlikely that they would return for another season after having their second year's cut short due to the low ratings all three suffered."

I finally finished watching the whole series and they ended on a crazy cliffhanger as we finally meet the today version of Ned's father. ABC says they'll air the final three remaining episodes during the summer but I'm willing to bet we will just see them on the second season DVD set.
