Fat Bastard is safe for now thanks to a hung over, apathetic, overrated cal club coming 3,000 miles cross country to lay down for him. I thought that the Middle Tenn. State loss had done him in but Cal and Klimpsun have saved him. Speaking of coaches from that generation...
Tammy was hired in 99. I don't see him lasting past this year with the huge disappointment that they have been.

They did go 9-4 last year, but this isn't early in his tenure and even after beating up on Maryland they still look like one of the worst teams in a BCS conference (they got blown out by Duke last weekend), plus the whole banning signs to quell dissent tactic is pretty fucking weak.

What about Ted Roof - does he count? I know he was hired after all of these guys, but he was supposed to get Duke turned around too. Grobe is about the only one hired in the 2000s that has really had any success in taking a program to the next level. Fatty had a good 2-3 years, but nothing consistent.

"Don't Fire Al Groh"

Give that motherfucker a RAISE!!

Tonight Butch Davis was outcoached. Just a few weeks ago everyone was calling for Groh's head and now he's rattled off 3 straight wins against teams w/ winning records. My how quickly things change. The ebb and flow of college football is apparent this season

it's like you look for reasons to say 'ebb and flow'.

Games like today's are why Groh hasn't been fired (plus a Univ. Pres who, not unlike our chancellor, is terrified of changing the status quo)

Hopefully he can turn it around for them this season.

(My dad's a UVA alum, I've gotten to hear a the whole schpiel about why Groh and their Pres are terrible for the university)
