so an old friend of mine just had a boy
I want to suggest some good children's books to him because he wants to read to his kid as much as possible
I have already suggested Swimmy the story of a a little fish that convinces the other fish to swim together so they look like a big fish in order to keep from being eaten by other big fish
anyone got any good suggestions? 10/7/2008 12:17:02 AM |

Dr. Seuss sounds like the way to go on this one. Can't remember the exact titles, but there are several with those themes.10/7/2008 2:54:06 AM |

Wump World has a good environmental message. Its been around for decades though so might be older than what you want. I'm sure if you just go to a bookstore someone could help you 10/7/2008 7:40:21 AM |

Seriously there is a book called "Click, Clack, Moo". It is about cows who refuse to give milk unless the farmer gives them blankets or something. My wife's cousin who is a liberal professor of economics gave it to us "to teach our daughter about the importance of labor unions". That was his quote. 10/7/2008 11:01:30 AM |

there are overtones of labor organizing in this book - at least I'm reading it that way its an anarcho-syndicalist children's book 10/7/2008 11:22:44 AM |

Honestly, the kid will have no interest in books unless they are pop-up/have stuff he can touch until he is 2 or 3. Any book up until 2 years old will just get torn apart 10/7/2008 12:08:20 PM |
