Put up an ad on craigslist to sell some concert tickets...
Besides the basic info of whom and where, I put this:
"They are E-tickets so if you have paypal, you will get these tickets as soon as payment is confirmed!"


So I got a response from some dude yesterday that said, "Still for sell?"


so I said Yes and here's what he wrote me today....mind you that the concert is tomorrow night:


Hello I really appreciate your response to my mail.I want you to consider it sold to me , pls do withdraw the advert from craigslist to avoid disturbance from another buyers.I want you to know that i will be
paying via bank certified check .I will need you to provide me with the following. information to facilitate the mailing of the check .
(1).Your full name (2).Your mailing address be it residential address
(3).siz code
(4.)Your phone number. **I will like you to know that you will not be
responsible for shipping i will have my mover come over Once you have the check cashed
at your bank

Now I've never actually sold tickets on craigslist so this may very well be how it's done....or not.....??

Listen....the first thing that 'alerted' me was the 'Still for sell?'..... When this thing came along it had nigerian scammer written all over it...and right away I was well aware that no one was getting my full name, let alone my address....let alone my bank account # but a) It's me and my friend who are selling them so before I told her that there was no way in hell I was doing this, I figured I'd just reaffirm this with your guys' help..... and b) I couldn't decide to even respond to this guy...and I may have responded with a 'sorry but they're sold' email, but since I am indeed not paranoid, I will not be responding for shit. I'm already pissed off that he has my email address.


You see we are a bit desperate because while apparently they were going for 3x face value in Vegas (thx Slave) we are going to be lucky to get 1/2 their value..... I don't know if it's because they added another fucking concert in November or what....but at this point, we will probably be giving them away....we tried ebay....craigslist was our last resort besides scalping which is what we're gonna have to do.

I'm not that stupid. I already said it screams scam to me....which is why I haven't responded and never intended to. However, my friend, who isn't so savvy wasn't convinced. She's not dumb, she's just not websmart...so I wanted to show her that indeed, this was a scam and not just me being paranoid. Damn you guys really don't give me any fucking credit. Welp....nice to know who those people are.... I guess....
