Anyone ever use a HDTV as a computer monitor? If you have just wanted to get your input. I'm probably going to mostly use it for gaming. I'm looking for about a 37". 10/9/2008 9:51:39 PM |

if you're sitting far enough back and it supports 1:1 pixel mapping it will work fine... but if you think you found a 37" monitor for cheap you didn't the resolution isn't nearly as high as a monitor would be.
this has been a sumfoo1 presentation
p.s. i have a 1080p 40" tv and i can see pixels 10/9/2008 9:53:48 PM |

I played Bioshock and Assassin's Creed on my 37" Samsung at 1080p and Counter-Strike: Source and TF2 on it at 720p(easier for me to aim). It's awesome.
I would suggest having the middle of the TV at eye level or slightly above it. Also, you need to be sitting at least 5' away from it.
